His will for our lives, not our will for our lives!! We have been crucified, we are dead to our ambitions, our fleshy desires of controlling our lives. Now we simply get His directions, His orders for our lives and walk them out. His plan satisfies our soul and pleases the Father.
What higher ambition in life do we desire than this! There should be none.
UPDATE:
I am still progressing in the prayer assignments God has given me. I am pleased to say I have seen great positive results in regards to these assignments. God's Word is true...the effectual, fervent prayer of the righteous avails much. We press on in prayer until the complete assignment is finished, never letting up until we pass the goal line and see the desired results.
I can't leave for France until these assignments are completed. However, ALL DONATIONS ARE BEING SAVED IN A MINISTRY BANK ACCOUNT TO PAY FOR FUTURE MINISTRY EXPENSES REGARDING MY NEXT TRIP.
Throughout my visits to southern California, I have visited many great ministries here. It is a valuable ministerial asset to know of these ministries. In knowing these ministries I can direct a new convert to a church I believe they will be comfortable in attending long term.
Bel Air Presbyterian and Shawn Boltz's Expression 58 are two wonderful ministries in this area. These ministries are very different from one another in the style in which they present the Gospel. In presentation, Bel Air Presbyterian is a beautiful, conservative, casual family church, whereas, Expression 58 draws the 18 to 35 age group primarily with its artistic flavored style of services.
The Dream Center, where Matthew Barnett is pastor, which is Assembly of God based, also draws young people and has displayed an outstanding Christian witness in their community in the past. Then we can't over look the Foursquare church where Jack Hayford was pastor for years in Van Nuys, Church On the Way. I have found southern California has many outstanding Christian ministries to be proud of. Isn't it fantastic to know we are all in the same family of God. If you are ever in southern California, you will never lack for a good church to attend.
August 28th I am traveling to San Diego to visit with fellow Rhema graduate Jim Harper, his wife, Tanya, and their three small children. Jim and Tanya have been in the ministry for years as missionaries to Russia. I desire to discuss European missionary strategies and possibly doing an evangelistic outreach here in the Hollywood area to reach the Jewish Russians.
AN INTERESTING FOOTNOTE:
I am working at a local department store in the West Hollywood, Beverly Hills area with part time hours. So guess who I waited on ?? Ellen Degeneres' mother. She has been on the show apparently many times. When talking with her, I asked where Ellen got her sense of humor, and she replied she got it from her dad. She was so pleasant and down to earth. Well in the moments of excitement, I forgot to remove the sensor tag to the article of clothing she was purchasing.
She returned minutes later to say the sensor went off when leaving the store. Again, she was so pleasant and sweet, not at all seemingly upset. In addition to show what a nice individual she is, she was on her way to do volunteer work.
Still another note of interest....my son waited on Billy Crystal and Robin Williams where he works. Only in LA could this happen!!!! Just goes to show even celebs want to go shopping and out to eat.
